LUG Jaipur is going to organize a Fedora 11 Release party event on 12th June 2009 at 6:00 PM (IST) in MNIT Jaipur. As everybody knows Fedora is a popular Linux distribution which is always ahead in having new stuff (bleeding edge) in it , so it will be a great experience trying it out , that too the latest version on your machine (laptop/desktop/netbook).
Attendees
- Interested faculty members & students of the college, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur are invited
- LUG Jaipur members are all invited already
- Anyone from the general public who is a GNU/Linux enthusiast and want to try out Fedora 11 is invited
- Expected attendance will around 50

Program
- Install fest
We plan to do a network install on machines available during the event , because we will have a good network connection. Both wifi and wired connections will be supported.
- Talk on all the new features which are there in Fedora 11 will be discussed with the attendees. Some of the features will be live demonstrated to the audience.
- Presentation and talks will be given by Deependra Singh Shekhawat, Anirudh Singh Shekhawat and Udit Sharma who will also be helping the audience on basic questions and installation of fedora 11 during the event.
- We will be cutting Fedora 11 (Leoniadas) Cake and that's for everyone :)
Other stuffs
- We will be using the offline repository of fedora 11 DVD.
- We will be distributing fedora stickers to the audience along with the fedora 11 DVD media.
